Eccles Cakes with Raisins
Eccles Cakes with Raisins is a classic Enlish course. This refined dessert won't leave you indifferent.
Ingredients: 425 g prepared puff pastry,
3 tbsp milk,
4 tbsp cane-sugar.

For Stuffing:
75 g unsalted butter,
200 g raisins,
75 g chopped candied citrons,
50 g cane-sugar,
1 1/2 grated spices (cinnamon, cloves).
Preparation:

  Heat oven to the temperature of 230 degrees С. Grease baking sheet with butter. Put all the ingredients for the stuffing in a saucepan, simmer them until sugar and butter melt. Mix them and let them get cold.
  Then sprinkle the table with flour and thinly roll the dough out on it. Cut out 12 circles with a round form. Put a spoon of stuffing in tрe centre of each circle and cover the edges with dough covering the stuffing.
  Turn over the round cakes and press them with a rolling pin. Make 3 cuts on the top and put them on a baking sheet. Grease it with milk and sprinkle with sugar. Bake it for 15 min until golden brown.
  Serve fresh and warm.
