Mussels on the Half Shell with Tomato Sauce
Mussels on the Half Shell with Tomato Sauce is a refined Italian course which may easily become the greatest course of your fetsive table.
Ingredients: 2 tbsp olive oil,
2 garlic cloves,
40 mussels in shells,
3 sprigs fresh thyme,
2 tbsp dry white wine,
1 can preserved chopped tomatoes,
1,5 tsp apple vinegar,
1/2 tsp chily peppers flakes,
2 finely chopped spring onions,
salt, preferably sea salt.
Preparation:

  We introduce you a traditional Italian Mussels on the Half Shell with Tomato Sauce recipe. It won't take you much time to cook it but it will be a great pleasure for you.
  At first heat olive oil, thyme and garlic in a cast iron pot for about 3 min until it gets flavorous.
  Then add mussels, pour white wine in it. Reduce the flame and simmer it for 3 min. In this period mussels open their shells. Put the mussels in a bowl and let them cool. Then remove mussels meat from the shells. Leave one half of shells and throw away another half.
  Take garlic and thyme out of a saucepan. Add tomatoes, chily pepper flakes, salt and vinegar. Bring it all to boil and simmer it for 15 min stirring it until the sauce gets thick. Add mussels in it and simmer it for 1 min more.
  Before serving put shells on a dish. Put 1 mussel in each shell, pour the tomato sauce in them and decorate them with chopped spring onins.
